Gene is a graduate of Greenbrier Military School. He served our country and is a Korean War Veteran. Gene also is an Oklahoma City University Graduate.

He entered the window industry as a national salesman for Pomeroy Windows and Unique Balance Company in 1968 and worked until 1998. He also worked as a sales manger for Omega Balance Company.
